Patience Appreciated by Dykeman Golfers Through Final Phase of Construction

Logansport Parks and Recreation Department has announced that golfers should be aware of the significant changes taking place at the Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Course.  Beginning Monday, April 28th, Dykeman Golf Course operations will be officially moving out of the current clubhouse as preparations are being made for the next phase of the “Clubhouse Project”.

Golfers will need to check-in at the temporary check-in area in the trailer located next to the number 9 tee box.  During this time, concessions will be limited to prepackaged snacks and drinks. Restroom facilities will be provided via port-o-lets and facilities on the course.

Tuesday, April 29th, demolition of the current clubhouse will begin. For safety reasons, access to the first tee will be restricted to the fairway on hole # 1.

Beginning May 5th, Central Paving will begin work to repave the parking lot.  The entire parking area will be closed, which will significantly limit parking availability.  Weather permitting, the old driving range field may have to be used for overflow parking.

The public’s patience and understanding are appreciated for the most inconvenient part of the project.  These next few weeks will be challenging to all as construction approaches the finish line of the clubhouse project.  The goal is to be moved into the new clubhouse by the end of May.
