The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department will initiate the following policies for a Mobile Food Vendor Permit:  

Who needs a Mobile Food/ Vendor Permit?  

Any business or organization wishing to sell food and/or beverage items in the Logansport Parks must first obtain a Logansport Parks Mobile Food/Vendor Permit. The operation may be a self-contained food truck, pull-behind trailer, or stand-alone set up. Only permitted mobile food vendors may operate in the Logansport Parks. 

How do I get a Mobile Food/ Vendor Permit?  

Submit a completed Mobile Food/Vendor Permit application, along with the following:  

• Appropriate fee  

• Sample menu  

• Certificate of Liability Insurance ($1,000,000 minimum) which names the City of Logansport as additional insured 

• Cass County Health Department Temporary Food Establishment Permit 

• Schedule of Parking/vending times 

Which parks allow mobile food vendors?  

Mobile food vendors may purchase permits to operate in a specific location at each Heritage Park, Huston Park, Little Turtle Waterway, Muehlhausen Park, and/or Spencer Park.  Fairview and Riverside parks can be utilized when the concession stands are not open, generally before 5:00 p.m.  If the MFV plans to move from park to park throughout the day a schedule must be provided to the Parks Department.  

Vendors that sell merchandise or crafts are allowed to vend at events and programs at Logansport Parks and Recreation by prior approval only.

How much does a permit cost?  

The daily permit is $50 per day, per park, and must be purchased for special events such as July 4th , Summer Sundown Music Series, or Howl at the Moon.  A six-month permit is $250.00 per any six-month block of time.   Six-month permit holders do not need to purchase an additional daily permit for special events. 

Six-month permits are not pro-rated.
