A Big Bug Fest for Curious Kids and Families!
Do you love anything small with 6 or more legs? Logansport Parks and Recreation is teaming up with Purdue University Entomology Department to bring an unforgettable, up close and personal bug experience to our community!
What to Expect:
-Free community event for kids, adults and everyone in between
-Live insects from Purdue Entomology
-Learn cool (and surprising!) facts about insects
-Some insects to observe and gently touch
-Meet insects you've probably never seen up close before
-Bug themed crafts for kids
-Fuel up your body and brain on concessions for purchase
This event is perfect for anyone who loves nature, science and asking, "WHY DOES IT DO THAT?!" Come discover why insects are amazing, important, and honestly just really cool. We promise it's more fascinating than freaky!

Join us for a magical evening at the Daddy Daughter Dance, inspired by the hit musical Wicked! This special night is all about celebrating daughters and the grown-ups who show up for them with love, laughter, and plenty of dancing.
✨ What to Expect:
• A Wicked-inspired evening full of music and fun
• Photo opportunities to capture sweet memories
• A welcoming, joyful space to dress up and dance together

Cryptid Club
Are you ready to go on an adventure to find Big Foot? Think that maybe ol’ Nessy might be in the Eel River? Want to learn more about Yettis or other mystical beings?
Come outdoors with us to Dykeman Park to see if we can learn, find, and create our own lore about some cryptids here in Logansport Parks. We’ll listen to stories, play some games and craft our way through the cryptids of Indiana.

If you're looking for an exercise class that feels more like a night out than a workout, Zumba® is the perfect fit for you. Zumba® brings people together through group exercise classes that blend rhythmic all types of music with high-intensity cardio dance moves to make getting in shape more fun than ever. Get a full-body workout while forgetting you're even exercising by joining the Zumba® dance party!
Every Tuesday we’ll stretch, dance, sway, and move about McHale while jamming to music together! Come and join the fun at Riverside Park starting January 20th 2026.

Join us for a indoor community sale where residents can rent a space to sell gently used items, handmade goods, and hidden treasures. Whether you’re decluttering your home or hunting for that next great find, this event offers a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere and a wonderful way to connect with neighbors and friends!
$30 for a spot to sell all you can fit in your space.
Logansport Parks and Recreation is for all community members, with that in mind there are a few items that are not permitted for sale:
-No illegal or harmful substances, paraphernalia, or other items related.
-No living animals.
=No weapons, or items related to.
Logansport Parks reserves the right to ask a seller to remove any item deemed unsatisfactory or not family friendly. Failure to do so will result in ejection of the event without refund. Any item in question should be discussed with Logansport Parks and Recreation Department.

Join us for a holly-jolly morning of Christmas magic at Breakfast with Mr. & Mrs. Claus! Enjoy a delicious breakfast provided by our very own Logansport McDonald’s, meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, and make memories that will last all season long. Families can hop on for free carousel rides, create festive crafts, and enjoy a cozy story time with Mrs. Claus before snapping a photo with the big guy himself.
Breakfast: $6 per child | $8 per adult
