Summer Swim Lessons – Cass County Residents (Ages 4-14)
Swimming lessons are offered during the summer for Cass County residents ages 4 and up. Lessons are free of charge, with a limit of 35 participants per session. To ensure as many families as possible can participate, each resident may register for one session only.
Beginner Swim Lessons
Designed for swimmers who are just becoming comfortable in the water. Participants will learn water safety, front and back floating, proper breathing, kicking, and basic arm movements. The focus is on building confidence, improving body position, and introducing foundational skills for freestyle and backstroke. No prior experience required.
Intermediate Swim Lessons
For swimmers who are comfortable putting their face in the water and can swim short distances independently. Participants will refine freestyle and backstroke, learn side breathing, and be introduced to breaststroke and dolphin kick. Emphasis is placed on endurance, stroke development, and water safety.
Advanced Swim Lessons
For swimmers who can complete multiple lengths of the pool using freestyle and backstroke with proper breathing. Participants will improve stroke efficiency, learn all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly), and practice turns, dives, and endurance. Focus is on technique, stamina, and preparing for swim team or competitive swimming.
Our goal is to provide aquatic programs that promote physical fitness, water safety, and family enjoyment in a safe, welcoming environment.
Registration begins May 1, 2026.
Open only to Cass County Residents aged 4-14.
