  • Dykeman Park-West is maintained by the “Parks” General Fund and staffing, and is located between several large ravines, with lots of hardwoods. All water drains well and eventually follows the path of the ravines. Flooding is not an issue in this part of the park. The woods associated with this area are considered old growth, with lots of trees down, and a nature trail that loops around to the perimeter of the property. The forest is not well-maintained, so trees that have fallen eventually decompose into natural compost. Honeysuckle & other invasives are prevalent throughout the property. The most western point is an open area in which recreational activities can be held.
