Melbourne Park

Melbourne Park is one of the newer parks. In the late 90’s, it was established when homes in the area were demolished and up for tax sale. Through many fundraisers, the Cherub League parents built the concession stand & restroom, the fencing, dugouts, and the field. The Cherub League held softball games for girls who were 7-9 years of age. The Cherub League was a successful organization in this location until 2021, when they decided they needed to join the Girls Pixie League now located at the Aim High Field near the 4-H Fairgrounds. Since this organization has left, the field has been mostly unused except for the occasional practice by travel teams.
