  • Spencer Park, one of the oldest parks in Logansport, is 18 acres large and is located along the banks of the Eel River. Visitors are greeted with beautiful and historic stone pillars at the beginning of its circular driveway.  Many people take advantage of the circular nature of the half-mile drive with regular walking regimens in the park. The newly restored Eel River Shelter along the banks of the Eel River is host to many reunions, wedding celebrations, and family picnics.  The hill down to the Eel River Shelter is the best sledding hill throughout Logansport.  The newly finished ramp serves as a great place for people to access the Eel River for their canoe and kayak experience.  Spencer Park is home to the annual drive-through display of Christmas in the Park.

The lower pavilion on the Eel River is a stick- built Victorian Shelter which was built in 1905.
